Your website is your storefront on the Internet. How your website looks is like curb appeal in real estate. Whether your website is for informational purposes, selling products, promoting affiliate programs, reviewing products, or anything for that matter it just has to look good. A website does not have a second chance to make a first impression. Once a visitor lands on your page that's it, they are making their judgment. This is why it is important to have an attractive website that is easy to use and understand. Especially for Internet marketing because if your visitors navigate away before reading your offer then you have no chance at a sale.

There are absolutely countless websites on the Internet today, possibly billions. It is important to make your site easy on the eyes. If your site is an attractive one your visitors will be more likely to refer their friends to it. They'll tell their real friends, that is. They will be spreading the good word as well as returning themselves.

Making your website easy to understand is also very important. When your visitors land on your site if they are confused by how to use your site they will be gone faster than they arrived. Is there any reason for them to eat up their valuable time trying to navigate your site when they can just as easily go to another one? If you have a simple, easy to comprehend layout, this makes it easier to understand. People do not want to have to read an entire guide on how to navigate your site.

If you are able to effectively manage the esthetic appeal, and the ease of use, you will have a pleasurable website to visit. It is in our nature to want to do things we enjoy repeatedly. That may be why we have populated every corner of the globe. Most people that are on the Internet want to enjoy their experience as well. Making your site as nice to look at as possible makes it more enjoyable.

As people we also tend to judge things by physical appearance. We will come to our own conclusions and create our opinions based on those judgments. With an attractive website you are stacking the odds in your favour of the visitor creating a pleasant opinion. If your site is unattractive people will not respond so well and they will click away.

In conclusion I would say that an attractive website is almost as important to Internet marketing as the traffic you intend to drive there. If you can generate the traffic an attractive website can keep them coming back forever and ever. You can make a lot more money if your visitors are returning to your site, and getting their friends to visit too!
