I would say it all started out in a mess. From the point where I decided to get started with my own business online, everything was done wrong. I had no idea where to start and to be honest, I was all over the place searching for information. I am the kind of person who can see logics very easy, so I put up a site and went on for more information. I have been thinking about it after I got out of the addiction, how could I continue looking for more when I could not even use what I already knew. I got to the point where I did not take care of my own business at all, but just spending time looking for information.
After doing this a couple of weeks without making a single cent online I finally opened my eyes. The first thing I did was stopping the emails that was not relevant for my business, and made goals to achieve. I set goals that was realistic for me.
The next thing to do was tuning my sites a bit and start getting traffic. This should be no problem for the expert who had been reading every word about getting traffic ever written, but I happened to be wrong again.
At that point I found out that I actually was starting a business and that I had to treat it like a business to get it running. I did it and found out that it requires a big amount of work to build a business online that gives a good income. The great thing is that after the business is set up in the first place, parts of the income is kind of automated.
The thing that I really need to tell you is how I made my first dollar online. That was not from the business that I built, but from taking images with my digital camera. As I was in the information overload period I found a book online about how to make $300 a week with my digital camera. I have to admit that I was kind of desperate at that point and gave it a try.
The book showed me step by step how to take my own images from my disk and make money with them. I did exactly what the book told me to and a few days later I had money in my PayPal account. That was a great feeling when i logged in for the first time to see that I actually had made some money online, and it sure gave me the hunger and desire to keep on working and make more money from the internet.
