You can pull in huge traffic to populate your site as well as improve your search engine rankings. Therefore, it is important to make your landing page attractive and exciting to keep pulling in more and more traffic.

Landing pages are the first page where your visitors come and it is this page which makes the first impact on all the visitors. Let us see how we can make our landing pages convincing and inviting enough to bring back traffic and add to the increasing number of visitors.

The first step is to conduct thorough research. Check out the landing pages of other web sites in your niche and see what is in them that you like most. If you like it, then others would like it as well. Find out what is missing and what would you prefer in the site which could make the site even more interesting. Also, find out which features of the landing pages are good and interesting and which aren't. Once you figure out all these things half of your job is done.

The next step would be to build your landing page as per your research. All web sites target a specific segment of visitors apart from the general ones and so, once you decide your target audience, build your landing page accordingly. Make sure that the page is designed specifically according to the segment of audience you are looking for and make it as interactive as possible in every way to convert your audience. Remember, the more generic your landing page is, the lower the conversion possibilities get. So be specific.

The keywords used in your content should be included in the headline of your landing page. The keywords as well as the headline would play an important role in attracting traffic to your web site. Through these keywords the visitors will get to know that the web site is relevant to them and has what they are looking for. This in turn, increases the chances of bringing visitors to your web site and even converting them.

Avoid giving too many options to the visitor in the landing page. Keep your options restricted by removing outbound links. This may divert the visitors from the landing page to other pages, web sites or advertisements. In order to do this try and fit the message in one page with minimal distractions and un-necessary features or graphics. Keep it simple but interesting and make sure the visitor is converted. Redundant web site elements would only make the page heavier and time consuming to load. Too much time for page loading might cost you a potential customer.

Ensure that the visitor has all options for converting. Keep the landing page user friendly and easy to use so that the user does not have to struggle for the conversion by searching through pages or finding relevant options. Try out pop-windows for arresting customer interests. It works! Testimonials of satisfied customers could be another great way of impressing visitors.

Try out these simple tips and you will find your web site flying high in SEO ranking as well as customer popularity.
