Amazon Kindle Digital Book, Magazine And Blog Reader

I got my Amazon Kindle Wednesday and I can honestly say that I am totally impressed? I can almost say that it is "Life Changing." I don't mean in the sense of a birth or death in the family, but in the sense that it is changing the way I learn and consume information and live my day.

For the last few years I have relied on Audio Books as my primary method of enjoying books. My patience and attention span has always been a bit short. I found it difficult to sit still and read a book. With Audio Books I can listen and do something else such as work at my computer or set outside my RV and enjoy the odd stogy and or cool one.

Since my Amazon Kindle arrived I am finding myself spending a lot of time reading, really reading and not in the sense that listening to an Audio Book is also called reading. Of course, I realize that there is the element of the Amazon Kindle being a new toy. And that once the newness weares off that I will drift back to my old ways. Perhaps so, and if that is the case I will update/revise this review and explain how that happened.

In the meantime I would like to share with you some of the awesome features, additional capabilites and enjoyment the Amazon Kindle gives me.

I have found myself enjoying reading again and in new and different ways. For example, I am in the process of reading 3 books at the same time. Of course, I don't mean exactly the same time but 3 books that I am in the process of reading. I am reading two books related to business on topics like, How To Start A Business and one all about Internet Affiliate Marketing. I am also reading a for fun book titled "The Best Time Travel Stories of the 20th Century."

Additionally, I have found the size and ease to use has made it so easy for me to just pick it up and read for 10 or 15 minutes then put it back down and an hour later pick it up and start again right where I left off in any book, newspaper article or blog that I was last reading. It is just so handy that I will be able to add it to my Batman Utility Belt of digital gadgets and where ever I am with time on my hands, even only a few minutes, and be able to read an article or a chapter in a book.

Of course some of this time I was previously spending listening to Audio Books. But that is Ok. In the end I am still learning. I will still have times with my Audio Books that can't be done with the Amazon Kindle. For example, while driving, the Audio Book or Podcast is the way to go. Or as often as not an Old Time Radio Program which is what I enjoy listening to the most.

One thing I have learned about starting and running a business. It is not what you do in one session but the accumulation of directed or focused mini sessions that you have allowed to accumulate that moves you toward a goal in the long run (Wow! That sounded prophetic! :) ). And anyone who is starting a business and does not plan everything around the long run is wasting their time.
