Article: How To Learn How To Start And Run An Internet Business For No Cost, Easily And Quickly

By nature I am a lazy person. Let me explain. Now don't jump to the obvious conclusion that being lazy is a bad thing. In the way I mean it is not.

All my life I have always looked at a task from the perspective of how can I do that easier. During a past life as a Naval Officer I tried to look at my profession through that lens. My online business is no different. From the beginning, 12 plus years ago when I first started World Wide Web Helper - The Traveling Webmaster I found that building a web site and marketing that web site required a lot of repetitive work.

My approach to a new project or skill I was trying to develop is to first learn the basics then I quickly set about to find various tools that would make my work easier. For example, I taught myself PHP Programming beginning about 10 years ago. I soon realized that I was rewriting the same code over and over so I created my self a code snippet library of frequently used pieces of code. I then found programs that would, when I add variables, generate the necessary code for me. This was particularly useful for MySQL database queries. The code is laborious to write by hand but can be done in mere minutes using one of these useful tools.

Now your asking, what the heck does this have to do with learning how to start and run an internet business for no cost, easily and quickly.

Well, in one word learning! I have found literally thousands of Podcast episodes on just about every possible topic related to how to start and run an internet business for no cost, easily and quickly. These Podcast shows are usually between 15 minutes and one hour in length. They usually are limited to a specific topic and are part of a series of Podcasts produced by a web guru. So with literally hundreds of Podcasters producing dozens or, and I know a few, producing hundreds of episodes there is an enormous amount of training information available.

In this article I won't give you any specific Podcasts that I listen to, rather I will give you a list of Podcast networks where you can find several Podcasts on a variety of topics. In all of these Podcast networks their shows are free to listen to or download or they have a paid section but also have a large selection of free to listen Podcasts.

My Favorite is iTunes. iTunes is my favorite because it has a program that you run on your computer that allows you to easily download Podcasts and if you subscribe to a Podcast(s) iTunes will automatically keep you up to date with the latest shows. Additionally, the program allows you to maintain an easy to manage library of your shows which you can easily transfer to your Information about the Apple iPod Classic 80 GB 6th Generation. There may be other Information about the Apple iPod Classic 80 GB 6th Generation's that interface with iTunes but I don't know of any.

I use the Information about the Apple iPod Classic 80 GB 6th Generation because it is light weight and really easy to use. I take it with me nearly everywhere I go such as while I am shopping, having coffee in my favorite coffee shop, in my truck which has a Information about the Apple iPod Classic 80 GB 6th Generation docking station, or almost anywhere so that I am getting the most training information absorbed that I can, especially in what would other wise be wasted time.

Or you can download one of the many free or low cost Podcast aggregator programs that will automatically download your Podcasts and organize them into a library much the same way as iTunes does.

Next I like WSRadio.com. This is actually an internet radio network that maintains show archives in MP3 format and Windows Media format. The station itself has dozens of business related shows such as Build Your Business (BYB), several different eBay Radio shows, Marketing News Radio, Online Market World Radio, PayPal Radio, SEO Radio, Small Business Trends Radio, etc. In addition to business radio programming they have shows on nearly every topic you can imagine such as crafts, stamps, guns, cigars, love, health and beauty, you name it.

The next one I like is WebmasterRadio.fm. This is a Podcast network with dozens of different programs and a very large archive of past shows. WebmasterRadio.fm is more focused than the other networks above and their programming is centered around internet marketing, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), advertising, public relations. Pretty much anything online business related.

Another one is 10MinuteLessons.com. As the title implies this network broadcasts various shows in a short specific topic format. This web site is not limited to internet business related Podcasts but also has categories such as Arts & Entertainment, Computers, Education,Food & Spirits, Hobbies, Home and Garden, Music, Religion & Spirituality, Science, Sports and Technology.

There are others I am sure but I have found more Podcasts than I will ever be able to listen to on these networks so I haven't bothered to find any more. Some of these Podcasts have paid adverting or commercials running in them. At first I didn't like the idea but I became fascinated in hearing about products related to starting an online business. Of course like the real world radio and TV they will eventually go way over board. For now you can enjoy the occasional ad.

One last thought, in a future article I will discuss Vidcasts which are essential video versions of Podcasts and are great ways to learn how with too. On video web sites like YouTube you will find video tutorials on how to do most anything you are looking for.
